But hey, outside of UofM, what major employer does A2 have? Pfizer, well, not anymore.

I seem to remember a "resident artist" program proposed by King Carty a while ago (I also remember a T-shirt parody - MT can add the link if she likes). Since we can almost pre-determine that the city will continue the "temporary" tax, perhaps we can appropriate some money for q-tips, and clean out the ears of our elected officials.Right Wing Toledohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08119742451435966243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21829866.post-16801046428191443932008-01-21T17:22:00.000-05:002008-01-21T17:22:00.000-05:00The one thing wrong with prioritization seems to b...The one thing wrong with prioritization seems to be that our fearless (and, clueless) leaders have a different set of priorities that that of our fellow citizens...

And, heaven forbid that they should adopt our priorities.Hooda Thunkit (Dave Zawodny)https://www.blogger.com/profile/13176392380086227377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21829866.post-61017606741784719842008-01-21T16:54:00.000-05:002008-01-21T16:54:00.000-05:00Another move to make Toledo more like Ann Arbor. ...Another move to make Toledo more like Ann Arbor. Yes, Ben Konop and many others have consistently proposed ideas over the last year to make Toledo more "artsy, diverse, metropolitan," all synonyms for liberal democrat. This issue is another continuation of the same 30 years of tradition the Toledo area of democrat rule.

Big government spending YOUR MONEY in ways the elected officials believe are better than how you would spend it yourself. Remember everyone Governments have no money of their own! It is your money, taken by force, and spent for you.

To some extent that is both necessary and proper. Infrastructure such as roads and flood control, police and fire, and.........well that's about it on the local level.

Want to beautify the city, encourage artists to move here and convince businesses to invest in cultural and artistic endeavours? Fine, cut the artists taxes, cut the businesses taxes, make Toledo a place businesses want to come, and to keep their customers happy they will beautify their parking lots, green space, and buildings.

Vote no on renewing the income tax. Don't fall prey to the fear mongering that is coming (cut right from the pages of the manual on how to get taxes passed). Force city counsel to trim the fat, get their hands out of "projects" we cannot afford and should not be forced to pay for, and focus on needed services, roads, cops and firemen (no including ambulance crews).

The A-Hole

www.theassholelawyer.blogspot.com
www.copsandlawyers.blogspot.comCynical Counselhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03013429047654810331noreply@blogger.com
