There is, however, something seriously wrong with people who want to spend tons of money and make everyone comply with THEIR idea of conservation, especially when their ideas are not based upon science and fact.

The whole 'global warming' issue being caused by man and man's activities is part of the alarmism. Climate change happens - absolutely. If it didn't, we wouldn't have glacial groves over on Kelly's Island.

But it isn't caused by man - it's part of the natural processes of a planet. Global warming has more to do with the cycles of the sun than it does with human activities.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying it's okay to pollute - but there is such a thing as a cost benefit analysis. What good does it do to spend billions to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by a fraction of a percent? And will 'they' go so far as to say that humans shouldn't exhale? Carbon dioxide is, afterall, what we breathe out and what feeds plants.

I'm more in favor of realism than alarmism, facts over feelings and proof over speculation and 'computer models.'

And I like Klaus because he articulates this type of approach.Maggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12677808307727487766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21829866.post-64968466408218400912008-05-28T15:28:00.000-04:002008-05-28T15:28:00.000-04:00What is wrong with people being "earth friendly" a...What is wrong with people being "earth friendly" and wanting to cap poisons being put into our air?Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05966847290906915571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21829866.post-81265195050722673552008-05-28T12:35:00.000-04:002008-05-28T12:35:00.000-04:00Maggie,Obviously President Klaus is nothign more t...Maggie,

Obviously President Klaus is nothign more than a politician, as bscientists tell us that global warming is no longer under debate. Al Gore has told us this as well, which is obviously why he is refusing the challenge from President Klaus.

(Sorry about the mess, but this comment appears to be dripping with sarcasm.)Timothy W Higginshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17118861693269565715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21829866.post-71518015068484495622008-05-28T12:26:00.000-04:002008-05-28T12:26:00.000-04:00Maggie,Vaclav Klaus is a wise man and he agrees wi...Maggie,

Vaclav Klaus is a wise man and he agrees with me, so he must be right :-)

Glad you came back to radio too!Hooda Thunkit (Dave Zawodny)https://www.blogger.com/profile/13176392380086227377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21829866.post-51659542291700616022008-05-28T01:03:00.000-04:002008-05-28T01:03:00.000-04:00I like this guy. In the same respect, I too would like to debate Al Gore on Global Warming (oh that's right, the earth's been cooling the last few years, so we ought to call it climate change). He is extraordinarily on point by stating that this is nothing more than alarmism. In other words, people are freaking out over nothing. We have bigger concerns.

Anyway, I'm glad you're back on the air. You're a truly good person, and you are very smart and knowledgable. Your attention to detail is remarkable and very necessary. Keep up the good work. Everything is beautiful.Kurthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13295712494255160794noreply@blogger.com
