I recall it was strongly endorsed by all of the living presidents at the time it was signed.<BR/><BR/>I never understood the logic behind a business income tax. The business will either "spend" that income on taxable wages to employees or on capital investment so the government wins either way, yet Toledo and Ohio government continues to chase them away.<BR/>A friend that works in a relatively small shop recently bragged to me that nearly everyone there had been fired at least once due to attendance or goofing off, but their union had gotten their jobs back for them.
