It can just bellow forth nonsense instead, sight unseen, which the local yokels unwisely take as auguries.Peahippohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01249343346796502619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21829866.post-80629042870111588652007-09-22T14:34:00.000-04:002007-09-22T14:34:00.000-04:00Good job, Maggie.Good job, Maggie.WL Emeryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00092583484828593165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21829866.post-72748734381657184812007-09-22T14:05:00.000-04:002007-09-22T14:05:00.000-04:00Yup!Just another step in the endless march towards...Yup!

Just another step in the endless march towards the total Socialization of America with an eye towards the big target, Communism. . .

(And, yes, the paranoids ARE after me, they're everywhere)Hooda Thunkit (Dave Zawodny)https://www.blogger.com/profile/13176392380086227377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21829866.post-19849491706153435842007-09-22T07:42:00.000-04:002007-09-22T07:42:00.000-04:00Lisa - I couldn't agree more!Lisa - I couldn't agree more!Maggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12677808307727487766noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21829866.post-37182113935442225262007-09-21T19:53:00.000-04:002007-09-21T19:53:00.000-04:00My main concern when I first blogged about this in...My main concern when I first blogged about this in May was the fact that a real opportunity was missed to help do some public education on the challenges of providing healthy food for lower income families struggling to make choices with their food dollars.

I knew immediately when Rep Tim Ryan was planning on trying to survive on peanut butter & jelly and cottage cheese he didn't get the point either. Not much has changed with this latest challenge involving the commissioners. Rather than get dietitians or even home ec teachers involved in demonstrating how it is possible to eat healthy for less we have another scenario where the focus will be on the $21.00 or on how you can't have garlic bread with spaghetti.

It's sad because every time this is done an opportunity to truly educate people on the issues related to convenience foods and health eating gets pushed aside...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00606533906583651054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21829866.post-2972861936717094592007-09-21T15:49:00.000-04:002007-09-21T15:49:00.000-04:00No, Luke... to get more people to sign up, they ac...No, Luke... to get more people to sign up, they actually issued a grant. It also seems to me that this "food stamp challenge" is a more clever way of getting people to take advantage of the program without being as blatantly ridiculous as those other places.Publiushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02738978748809484109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21829866.post-17080556239841063472007-09-21T15:43:00.000-04:002007-09-21T15:43:00.000-04:00Actually, Bizzy, the Reverends called to 'educate'...Actually, Bizzy, the Reverends called to 'educate' Fred.

The offer went out on air yesterday morning for the Commissioners.
