Is your vote secret?

Weapons of Mass Discussion has an interesting post about a little known phrase in election law...requiring court witnesses to divulge their votes when there is a challenge to an election. Not suprisingly, both local Republican and Democrat parties agree this shouldn't be allowed. Read all about it here.

    It will either quietly go away or end up in the Supreme Court.

    Q. Do you remember all of your votes?

    Q. Every one?

    Q. Are you sure?

    Q. What if you are compelled to disclose your vote and you lie?

    Q. How would anybody know, assuming that each candidate got at least one vote in your precinct?

    Q. What if you refuse to say, based on your Constitutional rights?

    Q. This IS a joke, right?
