We here in the US sail with the blind acceptance of the captain of the Titannic. Believing ourselves unsinkable and firm in the knowledge that we have nothing to fear, we push on at full speed ahead in spite of the warnings of icebergs that we have been given.
What's worse however is that even now, perhaps fatally holed in our flawed course and our desire for haste, the Captain of the most wonderful ship that has ever sailed seems only concerned that the band plays more cheerful music as the ship sinks.
