City files response to Convenience Store lawsuit

According to information I received late Friday, the City of Toledo has submitted a response to the lawsuit filed by the Midwest Retailers Association over the convenience store licensing law.

Monday, when the courts open, I'll take a look at their response and share what I find.

UPDATED: The City did NOT file a response, but they did request an extension of the time in which to file their response. If my calculations are correct, they have until about May 14th in which to answer. I'll keep you posted...

When will Lucas County step into the NOW and have court document viewable online - aarrggg...

I know they are "working on it." I know they are trying to find an efficient method to screne or redact personal info like SSN, childrens names etc. But cmon - courts across the country are doing it.

Maggie I know you will have some insight.

I know this case is in Federal court - and they do have online access for registered users - for a fee.

I am not sure about pubic access which may raise an interesting constitutional issue at the federal level. HUMMMMMMM????!!!
