In attendance: Councilmen Craig, Steel, Martinez, Ludeman, Collins, McNamara, Sarantou, Waniewski (only there for 2 votes), and Copeland. Councilwomen Brown, Hicks-Hudson, and Webb, Mayor Bell.
Item 406 – Resolution – Observe remembrance of 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001 – adopted – all voting yes.
Man from Islamic Community speaks – condemns act of September 11, 2001. Presents certificates to the Mayor, President of Council Brown, Fire Chief, and Chief of Police.
Council into Executive Session; 4:25 – 5:25.
(Did notice a lot more people than usual in the room. Looked around the room during the Executive Session. There was a lot of red shirts that had circle with a line through it, and it was issue 2.)
Item 423 – Amend TMC Ch. 2117, AFSCME Local 7, to implement terms and conditions of Fact Finding Report – Steel – Point of Order – Brown – no, 1st Reading. (Did notice that ¾ of the room left - the red-shirted people.)
Item 375 – Approve 2011 – 2015 CIP Plan, line item veto of General Resurfacing $750,000 – Brown – override veto – yes vote: Waniewski, Brown, Sarantou, Hicks-Hudson, Steel, Collins, Copeland, Webb – no vote: McNamara, Martinez, Craig, Ludeman. Veto (Mayor) Upheld. (Waniewski left after this.)
