But this one isn't so good...
Joel Kotkin, of Forbes.com, has an article on Yahoo! Real Estate ranking the Worst Cities for Jobs. It should come as no surprise that many of the cities are in the Midwest - primarily automotive focused areas. As the sub-heading says, "The Sun Belt just might recover, but employment prospects look grim in Michigan, Ohio and California."

When will our mayor call for a news conference to announce:
"We're Number One!!"
s/off
I think Flint used to be a medium or large city, but that was prior to the renovation that prepared the city for Roger and Me.
I can't find a job in the Toledo area, and neither can any of my brothers. Neither can my cousin.
Maggie,
Another first place "(dubious honor/award)that I'm betting "duh mayer" won't be so eager to jump up and spread the word about...
Further I doubt that he'll be jumping in front of this parade like he had something to do with it, but. . .
But according to Carty there are 700+ thousand people in Toledo, why are we medium sized? I don't know if his inflated population would put us over to top in the catagories.
Of course we also have -
Declining crime rates,
No lack of police officers,
(because 75 were not laid
off "over the weekend.")
A government that is not too
big,
Media who focus on the negative,
and attack Toledo when they
attack him.
wow...
