Conference version of stimulus bill now available

Michelle Malkin has uploaded the 1,434 page conference version of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Bill, in case you're interested in a little light reading.

As before, the only way information will get out about what's in this porkulus package is if we read it and publicize it ... so enjoy!

Oh - and if I calculated properly, 1,434 pages in a $789 Billion stimulus bill equals an average of $550,209,205.02 per page.

The vote is scheduled for as early as Friday in the House, with the Senate acting shortly thereafter. The hope is that President Obama will sign the bill Monday.

Maggie,

Obviously the point here was to compare in page count, inability to be comprehesible, and in furtherance of tax slavery with the Federal Tax Code.

As Maxwell Smart used to say, "Missed it by that much..."

1,434 pages!

Let's assume 1000 words for every 3pages of double-spaced text. That would be 478 words per page.

478 x 1,434 = 685,452 words. If you divide $789B by 685,452 words you get $115.10 per word.

Now suppose the average Washington typist can type 80 wpm how many minutes would it take for one person to type the bill?

Answer: 8,568 minutes divided by 60 minutes = 142.15 hours. Of course those minutes could be reduced by lots and lots of typists.

It's possible to keep going further with questions like these. I won't. My point is that it took more time to type it, people to read it, with hardly any time for proofreading, debate and scrutiny, than it will take to pass it into law.

I think it proves just how odious the proponents of this onerous bill really are.

As such, I am convinced, it is a call to arms for all people from all walks of life, but especially conservatives, to do whatever they can--small or large, to stop this madness. Our liberty depends on it.

Maggie,

Or, if we're really lucky, the end of the World will happen first and spare us the indignity of what is to come if it doesn't.
