Revolt!

If you've not yet seen it, CNBC has a great video of an interview with Rick Santelli on the Chicago trading floor.

Think: "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore" with traders cheering in the background.

The other reporters didn't quite know how to respond...

And then there is this article on student reaction to President Obama's speech ... out of the mouths of babes...

I think the bloom may be coming off the rose in the new administration. Every plan the new president has put forth is that a man with no idea of how an economy actually works. The video of the revolt was too right on to be ignored. I hope all TV stations play it tonight!

Perhaps the Bloom is off the Rose.

I think what we are seeing is the real Obama, as compared to the campaigning Obama with his flawless delivery of the soaring rhetoric of David Axelrod speeches.

If more people had looked at his resume and history, none of this would be a surprise. Instead, we saw a campaigner that basically lied or obscured his record so as not to cause himself to lose. That combined with the love affair of the media to create a persona for someone who frankly had never before exhibited the qualities he supposedly had. It created a powerful brand that caused enough people to "buy in" to the political bait and switch.

It's much akin to interviewing a potential new employee. They are a great interview, but when you examine their work record...you're unimpressed and they don't get hired. Too many people allowed themselves to not only ignore the work record but worse, deliberately ignored the work record because they knew if they really cast a discriminating eye, he wouldn't have been elected.

Where were these yahoos when the taxpayers bailed out Wall St?

Chris - as someone who opposed all the bailouts, I would wonder the same thing...

bailouts are wrong - whether for entities you like or not...
