Any search of the blogosphere featuring the terms 'future, Republican Party, conservative' will give you more reading than you could possible do in a week. Republicans, conservatives and right-leaning individuals are discussing what is ahead.
If you're one of those who agree that the GOP has lost its way, I'd encourage you to take a look at some specific websites and get involved. The future of the conservative movement (which may be much different from the GOP) is in your hands.

TAHL - had a problem with comments for a while and the only way to solve it was to do the pop-up...I've switched it back to see if whatever glitch existed has gone away.
Maggie, thanx much for the links...
The GOP elites have shown their true "colors"....P Noonan,K Parker and even C Krauthammer et. al. have written about the Palin mistake as a VP choice. Without Sarah, BHO's victory margin could have been 60/40 or greater...
She was/is a true breath of fresh air for conservatives. Given the lessons she has learned, both positive and negative, she could be much more formidable in the future.
Even excluding SNL, she has name recognition...big time.
Too bad we start off in negative territory thanks to the anonymous cowards on Team McCain. Carl Cameron's snide report on FNC was pathetic. His snickers should cause him to lose some teeth...
Will write to FNC with my thots.
Maggie,
I agree that Conservatives are looking for a home, and hopefully within the Republican party.
Not meaning to sound pompous or arrogant, but we'll be there waiting for them..., when they find their way back to us.
Ken Blackwell, former Ohio Secretary of State, has announced his run for the position of Chairman of the Republican National Committee. His announcement letter can be found here.

I think Blackwell would have made a fine Governor, and I believe he has a bright future in the Republican party.
